Re: Uptown - LynLake - The Wedge - News & General
Dunn Bros. at 34th and Hennepin is now closed. It had been there a long time. So sad.

Re: Nicollet Ave / Eat Street - Whittier, Stevens, Loring Park
Thankfully they did leave this open to traffic. This is a major artery from downtown to Richfield.

Re: Southdale Area - Edina
I know they are closing some Macy's and I wonder how that affects Southdale. I don't think it will close but if this is going high end some Macy's are being converted to Bloomingdale's or the smaller format Bloomie's. It should be interesting as I didn't see this coming.

Re: Suburban Malls and Associated Retail News
Macy's closing 150 stores. I'd imagine Burnsville, Southdale, and Maplewood would be the most at risk of closing. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2024/02/27/investing/macys-closing-150-stores/index.html Burnsville yes, Maplewood yes, but I don’t think Southdale will close especially with the large number o...

Re: Suburban Malls and Associated Retail News
I see Hy-Vee's advertising everywhere. The grocery store model has changed. More and more people are getting everything delivered. I call it lazy but that is the way we are going. I don't know a Cub or even a Wal-Mart that is open 24/7. Reduced hours are also because of staffing. The way we shop is ...

Re: Owatonna
Owatonna is a bit overrated. I prefer Faribault. It is more historic and much more scenic and just as well positioned and has a lot going on as well. It is also closer to the metro. Shattuck/St. Mary's is gorgeous as well as the entire east side. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Daymark Uptown (Sons of Norway site) - 3014 Holmes Ave S
It will be interesting to see what kind of retail is able to fill the main floor if any. The landscape has changed dramatically in Uptown. There are more people moving into overpriced apartments which leaves less money to spend in the shops in the neighborhood. [Mod note: replies to this post were m...

The prices are outrageous. Subtract a grand from what they are charging and it would be reasonable.

You can see Target Field in the background, The skyline view is going to get better over time.

Re: North Loop Green - Hines - 350 N 5th St(?) - 36 stories / ~400'(?)
This would be quite visible from Target Field in left field and would ad to the skyline from that view. If you had an apartment at the top it would be great but I am not sure you are close enough to see the action. Clearly you would be caught up in the sights and sounds of the game. I hope this come...
