Re: Lake Minnetonka Hotel
I used to go to that Pizza Hut all the time when I used to sail in MTKA, I think this is going to be much better for the city it looks like it will be done real nice.

Re: Minneapolis & St. Paul Fantasies and Speculations
One of my great fantasies is to really create a unified "eat street" and actually connect the Loring Park and Stevens Neighborhoods. I'd propose a freeway trench cap over i94 creating a new park and an east/west connection between loring park's oak grove, and stevens' 17th. People travelin...

Re: The Interchange (At Target Field)
I made a little diagram of how I think this is to lay out, and some of what I'd like to see

This should be visible to all, including non facebook users! It said it was too big to display.

Re: The Interchange (At Target Field)
I like the station cover, and I think this is the phase 1 simplicity that we're seeing. If the hotel/services building is done like the rendering it could be pretty cool. It also seems that they are squaring off the intersection of 5th st and 6th ave there which will be nice and more urban feeling, ...

Re: MPLS Speculation: Where will the next big tower be propo
Ooooh Also, Something tall at 1st Avenue and 5th Street would be amazing. Not only is it next to the LRT, Cowles Theatre, Target field/center, and tons of everything, if it's tall enough it could help block out/eclipse 33 south 6th (city center).

Re: MPLS Speculation: Where will the next big tower be propo
I think the coolest, best place for a new Residential/mixed use project would definitely be Hen and 10th/11th The most likely best place for a new tall office tower I would think would be between 9th and 10th st between 2nd and 3rd ave next to oracle and campbell mithun... I also think Elliot Park i...

Re: The Interchange (At Target Field)
It's the first time I've seen this rendering, but totally is a little easier to 'digest.' Easier to see how everything lays out. Lots of future potential for this site and area, should serve it's function for the mean time. http://ad009cdnb.archdaily.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/1340855404-the-int...

Re: University of Minnesota
It would be awesome if they renovated Pioneer hall (just east of the current facility) With glass roofs over the courtyards, completely renovate/re purpose the spaces, and build new dorms on the two blank lots. just to keep things consistent and compact...

Re: Minneapolis Streetcar System
I really like your ideas there, I think it would be best if the greenway line went to the future Calhoun Area SWLRT station? The North/Chicago loop is great as well as the one serving the U, Great that it's east and west bank.

I love this comparison! Though it does drive me crazy being it features my LEAST favorite surface parking lot. Looks like it's been there a while. Lame.

Re: Bennett Lumber Site
I disagree, I mean there is definitely weekend traffic in Uptown, but rush hour traffic is also bad. I live in the Wedge, and no matter which way you approach it Hen, Lyn, Excelsior Blvd, They are all a mess heading in around 5 PM. I work in Plymouth and the majority of my commute time lies within u...

Aside from the fact that it was built in "arden hills" the University of Phoenix stadium is amazing. When I lived there is was fantastic to see and be in.

Re: Vikings Stadium
I think it would be cool if it had some sort of landmark feature maybe other than just the building structure that could help distinguish the neighborhood? The Portland Convention Center comes to mind http://www.uyau.com/usa-western/or-portland/images/MSC03_Convention-Center.jpg As well as the Berli...
