Scaffolding came down today, red awnings install, I think it looks much better than what has been there for years. They installed a giant folding garage door to the back which opens to a tree lined patio. I would love to see the inside.

Re: Minneapolis & St. Paul Fantasies and Speculations
Let's get serious about creating the best bike/pedestrian friendly city in the world! Let's stop calling it "friendly", let's call it what it is, priority for bikes and peds! We need to think bold and be bold about changing the way people move around Minneapolis. Here's some ideas I have a...

The old building is down and clean up of the site continues. Steel pilings are on-site, this seems to be moving quickly.

Re: Loring Vue Apartments - (415 Oak Grove Street)
Anyone who owns a building in an urban environment that is surrounded by surface parking lots and believes they are "always"going to have the same view is a fool. It's time to stop apologizing for becoming a City!!

Re: Izzy's Ice Cream Factory
Given Izzy's history of having unsuccessful locations they later decide to close. The two previous "attempts" were a small skyway location and a kiosk in Marshall Fields... two places with only 9-5 hours and completely seasonally dependent. Those were just bad decisions. They don't have p...

Re: Izzy's Ice Cream Factory
I can't wait for this to be completed, if you're going out for icecream I would select Izzy's over Sebatian Joe's any day. Maybe someday one of the 2 Dairy Queen stores downtown will wake up and realize that if the put a store on the street level of Nicolett [sic] and stayed open past 5:00pm they wo...

Re: RS Eden Emanuel - (822 Third Street South)
I love the fact that this construction is happening on the other side of Washington, but I feel it's going to be a wall, blocking things off a little. Hopefully we'll see more development in this area to help tie this building into better once the stadium plans are unveiled and approved. Not sure h...
