Re: Fantasy maps
Nice work! What is the white dashed boundary? Is that Mpls + St Paul borders? The 2035 improvements really fill in the map with extensions to purple, pink, and gold lines. I’d love to see your improvements to those and the aBRT lines on the future planning. Now let’s go really far into fantasy land ...

Re: Purple Line BRT (Rush Line Corridor)
Yes, I meant it as both, not either or. This might need to be split off to the fantasy or general thread. I’m not sure we’d call a line along 36 aBRT… but I’d also hope for a lower cost approach. Fill in the gaps on the map. Connect many lines with stops at Maplewood Mall (Purple Line end) to Rice (...

Re: Purple Line BRT (Rush Line Corridor)
I live near this line. I would rather see it reduced to aBRT project and priced at 25%. If it’s Purple or aBRT, it will be slow, which will hurt ridership. A reduction would open funds for additional projects, and my vote would be a more useful Hwy 36 project.

Re: Purple Line BRT (Rush Line Corridor)
I agree that a downgrade to aBRT makes sense (even if it was extended north if the future moods change in Vadnais Heights or White Bear). The speed will not attract ridership over driving, so it should be an enhanced bus service for those in the corridor that rely on transit. BRT is 5x+ the cost of ...

An update on the project to reimagine the south side of rosedale mall. Dicks is going to be the anchor tenant. At one point it was going to be hotel(s), residential, and a grocery store.
