Re: Mall of America - Bloomington
West Market was the 3rd section that they renovated. Went from green Victorian train station to a very bright white cathedral of commerce. While I miss the old look, I really like the bright and airy feel of the renovated area. Other than the old Bloomingdale's corner. the courtyards in from of the ...

Curious what the green panels across the top of the ground level will be made of? I really doubt green granite that is for sure!

IF they were to keep the time and temp I think that going the LED route would be a good thing all around. Both for cost to run and maintenance.

I think they see this spot as a great opportunity to get those members and future members who can get off 35w/36 and stop in on their way home from work. Can't really see DT residents going to shop there with their bulk packaging of nearly everything. But as far as the word goes, it has LOCATION< LO...

Reminds me of the condo/retail building along Grand Ave in St. Paul neat Lexington, except a few stories taller. Looks like BKV can do a decent building with a developer that gives a s**t about how it fits into its community.

On the bus today I saw the windows papered over. So that would indicate that something is happening at that address.

Re: Mozaic (all phases)
If they plan on being up by 2017 then they need to have this started very soon. It will take at least 12 months to get the parking dug out and poured, build the unique shaped building (as this is not your standard square building that go up with a slip form), and do the finishing work on the inside....

I walk across that parking lot 5 days a week, there is nothing but a sign saying it will start in summer 2016, so Not sure what part of summer. Think they are still looking for an anchor lease tenant yet.

Goota love that remark!! But it is so true even if I'm one of the biggest pissers!Once upon a time this was a great thread. Now it's about as fun as the old metrodome trough urinals. And just as pissy.

Saw 2 semi side dump trailers taking dirt of the the site this morning. Must be moving a lot of dirt to go with those large of trucks. Want to get the parking done fast. Wonder what the date is that Target wants to open by.

I've noticed that the old Falfal King space now has a few walls down so that the whole 1st floor can be used by a single tenant. I'm guess the corner of Lake and Lyndale. Seeing as Chipotle now is giving away 1 M burritos to get customers back. I think that space is open for another tenant, as the r...

Wedgeguy gets another winter building to get worked up about. But most of the winter will be pile driving and digging out the parking garage. Most concert work will be where they are not above the ground level. THey should be out of the ground by the first day of spring I would hope. Hotel must not ...

The article mentions the restaurant adding bar service, and their application for a liquor license is going forward. One of the neighboring buildings had a notice posted for a public hearing on March 22. They'll add alcohol and be open on Sundays - they'll probably do well on Twins game days. They ...

That I would say is a ADA requirement. But how anyone with a handicap/wheelchair could get around in a small apartment would be a feat in my eyes.Even the smallest apartments have front and rear staircases. I'd say the elevator is the extravagance.

Re: Legacy Condominiums - 121 12th Ave S
So let's say this thing passes the planning commission and the council, any ideas as to when it would start construction? Is the demand there for this many new condos? Another thing I am curious about, is whether the condominium project is located near any public transit stops. There is pent up dem...

Planning commission today on an 8-0 vote said no to the Viking Way. Still needs to go before the full council, but I'm hoping that this is the end of this silly renaming games. Don't rush, Mr. Frey says he would be willing to barter back public rights to the Commons Park in exchange for a name chan...
