Re: Vikings Stadium

King, Thanks cool. I just mentioned the ship because I know it has been done a similar way before. I would really like Scandinavian touches all over though. I think that would be really cool and play on the idea that we are the land of the Vikings.

Re: Northstar

I still hold out hope. lol I think the big stat is to look at weekday commuter ridership because that is essentially what this line if for. I think this stat has been holding steady.

Re: Cedar Avenue BRT (Red Line)

Thanks man. So just to me clear, this line will be similar to the lines Metro Transit is considering for the major bus routes in the cities. It's an ungraded local route as opposed to a run of the mill local route?

Re: Vikings Stadium

I can't recall if I posted this on minnescraper but I figured I would do it here too. I always thought it would be great if the new Viking's stadium really went all out with the Scandinavian theme. They could build something like the winter olympic stadium in Lillehammer, that was meant to invoke an...

Re: Cedar Avenue BRT (Red Line)

Tcmetro, thanks for posting that. I have a question about the weekday transit way service slide. Is that slide of what they plan to do or what is currently in effect? I guess I am most confused about why would they have higher frequency on the existing express service than on the new Metro Red line?...

Re: Introductions

I'm Nick. I was born and raised in Minneapolis but currently live in Boston for grad school. Minneapolis is my home, and while I like to have the experiences of living in other places, I know it is where I ultimately want to end up. I love the way the city has grown and with the new public transit, ...

Re: Bottineau LRT

I'm with ELF on this one. I have read that many people along the Penn Ave. alignment are worried about the land acquisitions. What if we switched the station placement on the preferred right-of-way. I think taking out the stop at Golden Valley Road and instead putting a station at Plymouth would giv...
