My actual best case scenario idea is that every unit of government in the metro area should be rolled into the Met Council, which would then be elected and coherent and understandable to normal people. A little too wacko to suggest, though.

I have once again forgotten to turn off the credit card autopay for our hosting--you all have an eleven month notice that this is going to go away if no one wants it.

No one at any level of anything is going to get in trouble for it taking five times longer and it costing five times more than it should, but a lot of people will get a piece of the delay and overrun.

Some personal news--I'm so excited to announce that I've accepted a position as the city administrator of East Bethel.

Which I also haven't heard much about--there are non-garbage ways to produce steam (there are other steam plants downtown) but presumably the electricity for that comes from somewhere?

Do you take the train a lot here?
