Could be very interesting to compare changes in market value of North Loop, Mill District, and Elliot Park condo buildings from that ~2004-07 boom (then-new) to current value. My guess would be that Mill District have maybe appreciated the most, followed closely by North Loop and trailed by Elliot Park (with values remaining mostly flat?) For Elliot Park I would probably only use data from Grant Park, excluding Skyscape due to it having sold a number of units at foreclosure auction, skewing the data.I think that a lot about when I think about the pros and cons of my neighborhood and having bought a condo and the sunk costs there. I feel like there are for sure people who bought $600,000 condos in Grant Park in 2006 thinking the area was going to look like Chicago any day now, and 15 years later they don't even have a grocery store, and the CVS closed.
