Kim Bartmann has applied to the HPC to replace windows at 1612 Harmon, the former home of Nick & Eddie's/ Cafe Maude2. She had her wedding reception in that space last summer. I guess she liked it!
And, denied.

Buffalo Wild Wings chief hints at a possible opening of a downtown Minneapolis restaurant in the area of the new Vikings stadium.

Would be also great to see a Tender Greens and or Simply Salad franchise move into the market.

Oh. My. God. Finally! It can't come soon enough. I know there are a lot of unique and classy restaurants downtown, but sometimes you just want a ton of good cheap wings at a sports bar.

"The Office Pub & Grill" has opened between Deja Vu and JD Hoyt's.
In the photo used by The Journal, it sure looks like the upper floors are still pink

Actually BWW is damn expensive for what it is. Both beer and wings are way overpriced.

Their beer is way overpriced? I would have to argue with that logic. And their wings could be better, but they cost the same as wings at most places.

There are signs on the first and skyway levels of RBC Plaza for some new salad bar-concept restaurants to be opening up. Obviously "healthy fast-food" style establishments.

Well last night The Third Bird was open in that space. Felt Cafe Maude-ish but with more neutral colors and an alley entrance.

Is anyone excited about the Ling & Louie's on Nicollet? Anyone?

Seems like the kind of place your average Joe and Jane would frequent.

The decor is nice, the food is fair (not great), the service is good. Go to lunch with a friend as its cheaper. I think for Nicollet Mall it serves its niche pretty well as the only Asian restaurant. I guess I'm not expecting a hipster funky dive at this location ;)

Vellee Deli is making the move from food truck to brick and mortar, taking over the old Taco Bell location in the skyway (Baker Center). Hoping they keep later hours, as not working downtown has limited my ability to frequent their delicious food. https://twitter.com/VelleeDeli/status/5 ... 3901980672

I noticed the sign at the old taco bell location yesterday afternoon. This spot's been empty for far too long. Nice to see another food truck get a permanent location in the skyway.
