Surprised not to see any threads for the restoration of the Norshor Theater in Duluth. Here is one article:

Sad. Hopefully the damage was contained to mechanical portions of the building and not the actual theater. Just a little longer.

Hopeful this won't put a stop or severely increase the cost of restoring the theater.

Glad to see more old theaters being repurposed. I hope the Hollywood in NE and the Suburban World in Uptown can get started on some meaningful renovations soon too.
Am I to take it that there will be housing in the building surrounding the theater?

Finally, though, a $29.6 million financing package is in place to cover the extensive improvements. Montgomery anticipates that DEDA and the City Council will approve final plans in March. Developer Sherman Associates, based in Minneapolis, says construction would then begin in April.
