Bemidji City Council supports 3 roundabouts for Highway 197



Not the locations I would've picked from the original study. Better locations east of the roundabouts in the above picture. The one in front of Menard's is really bizarre to me.

I see these roundabouts sprouting up a lot in more rural areas. Are they being pushed by MnDot and County's to lower fatalities and costs?...then cities are going along with it reluctantly and just happy to have the improved roads?
