Upper Harbor Terminal
Re: Upper Harbor Terminal
Approved by the City council
Re: Upper Harbor Terminal
Except Jeremiah Ellison for some reason:
"Council member Jeremiah Ellison was the lone nay vote. He said beforehand that he thought the project was "by and large" a good one, but asked that the vote be postponed in order to give time to address some problematic aspects of it. He wasn't specific, and no other council member seconded his resolution to postpone the vote."

Also, plans for the amphitheater, which looks... much less interesting than anything we've seen so far. Seems awfully generic, cut-and-paste.

Be nice if they at least threw in some unique art or sculpture or something to give the venue a sense of character. Maybe extend the First Ave brand to here. Also, plans for the amphitheater, which looks... much less interesting than anything we've seen so far. Seems awfully generic, cut-and-paste.
Re: Upper Harbor Terminal
massive concert and festival goer here. that is beyond disappointing, not incorporating anything from alien city is borderline criminal, there's so many good projects around the u.s. to go off to and first avenue continues the trend of being involved with mediocrityBe nice if they at least threw in some unique art or sculpture or something to give the venue a sense of character. Re: Upper Harbor Terminal
Today I took a walk around the Upper Harbor Terminal site. For now it's a big and empty space, but the roads leading into the site are paved and you can tell where the street will be along the river connecting Dowling and 33rd. An old grain elevator (I think that's what it is anyway) still stands, do they have plans to incorporate that with the redevelopment?
