Re: North Loop Neighborhood
Yes, please! I die a little every time I walk by this thing.Could we all pool our money and buy this building and remodel it?

Re: City Walk Uptown - (1312 West Lake Street)
Did a little photo run, got two pictures of this. In the second, you can see that they're actually modified the sheet pilings to support concrete beams. It's very strange. Also, big hole. http://25.media.tumblr.com/905c8394d0f86c29a0cbfa227aea92f9/tumblr_mhmcneFx9r1qjvtbbo3_1280.jpg http://24.media....

Re: City Walk Uptown - (1312 West Lake Street)
Thanks! It's about time one of us got a picture up. As a regular Cheapo customer, I've had plenty of opportunities to stare at this site. For anyone who hasn't been by since they started digging, the hole they dug for this is absolutely massive. I'll try and get out with my fisheye lens this weekend...

Re: Downtown Saint Paul Post Office
There's a front page article on F & C right now, but it's behind the paywall. The only available information from it is that the Post Office drew five bids for the property.

Re: Totino's Apartments
A little sad to see a bit of the city's history go with demolition of the old Totino's, but wow, this is a phenomenal project. If the former Archive condo project ever takes off on top of this, this area should really jump to life!

Re: Seward Commons
Has anyone else been by here lately? There's a pretty sizable new building that's almost finished. It looks like it's going to be fairly ugly, and I can't find it in any of the renderings.

Re: St. Paul Office Market
Don't know where else to put this, but the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul is closing after this semester. Remaining students will be going to MCAD. Not a good week for St. Paul so far.

Re: Introductions
I suppose I might as well get around to introducing myself too. I lurked on Minnescraper for a long time, and started posting there just before it went down. Raised in BP but spent a fair amount of time in MPLS as a kid before moving here in college. Studied film and video production at the U before...

Re: Star Tribune Blocks
My dad works for Wells in 100 Washington, and if I recall correctly, their lease is up soon there and won't be renewed. He had said that they were talking about Arden Hills, but that was before this proposal. The kinds of departments in that space seem to match up with the types they've floated arou...

They must be putting that insulation up fast, because I drove by last night and it was almost 100% covered! You can get a really good feel for the massing of the structure now.

Does anyone have any images of the original tower proposal? I'd really like to see what it was that got the neighbors so riled up.

Re: 2316-2320 Colfax Apartments
Wow, that new rendering looks great. Glad the neighborhood won't be able to do much about this. We really need some new housing in this area.
