It’s complicated.

Re: Highland Bridge: Ford Site Redevelopment
Does anyone know when they will remove the fencing atop Hidden Falls (and in front of the trail-access tunnel)? Possibly next week, if the city will sign off on it. 15 months after prepping that area for finish, and they still can’t decide what to do with the patio area below the south retaining wa...

Cretin is now open thru the entire site.
I believe five units are now rented above the new building.
The busiest spots with people enjoying the parks are the Ped bridge over the central water feature, and the dog park on Montreal.

One of the first travelers thru was a gentleman on a motorcycle, who proceeded to drive down three different sidewalks marked Ped/Bike only.

The Pioneer Press article confirmed the railroad does not pay taxes for that land. I'm not sure of the reason however. Community members have questioned whether, as university property, the sports facilities would be exempt from property taxes. On Thursday, Ryan Cos. confirmed that they would be, a...

Re: Northstar Commuter Rail
$100 per person per ride, assuming 240 days going to work every year makes about a $48,000 subsidy per person per year. A Mercedes A Class sedan costs $34,000, so you could buy every NorthStar rider a new Mercedes every single year, with $14,000 left over for gas, insurance, and fuzzy dice. Can we ...

I was there yesterday. We will be there to excavate a hole in the basement to facilitate the installation of an elevator. What used to be the dining space is now completely open. The exposed beams, the flooring, and the subfloor above have all been sandblasted and cleaned up. It is absolutely beauti...

Interesting to see the ideas that come and go for this area of Rosemount... A munitions plant that closes as soon as it opens. Talk in the 90s of a cargo-only airport. Then talk about a radical self-sustaining community (like Jonathan or MXC). And now a boring subdivison. With enough buried asbesto...

Rubber ducky races from the central water feature to Hidden Falls, scheduled for yesterday, had to be postponed due to a concrete pour at the control structure north of Mississippi River Boulevard. No word on new date.
MRB is scheduled to be paved Monday, bike and walking paths on Tuesday.
