Re: Amazon's New HQ?
Yep PACB killed it. It’s not like Amazon isn’t going to expand in New York. Amazon absolutely wants to attract workers that would only live in New York. They just won’t get $500 million in state subsidy.

Re: Twin Cities' National and Global Image
Great to see an HGTV program in a local setting. Unfortunately I don’t think there is anything that can touch Windy City Rehab. That show outclasses everything in the genre.

Extremely racist people do not like the Minneapolis 2040 plan. I'm not surprised.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Office Market
There is a secular decline in office space demand. Outside of the Bay Area and Amazon there just isn't a robust office space market. I can only say make downtown desirable to live and maybe people will demand to work there as well.

Most hotels at a certain amenity level are basically the same. Really only the finishes are what separate hotels. That's why you see hotels change brands. A hotel can be built on spec up to point.

Re: Soccer Stadium and Snelling-Midway Development
I gotta agree with Qhaberl. It feels like a suburban stadium in a huge parking lot next to a major freeway. The least insipided local stadium since metrodome.

Re: Minneapolis 2040 Comprehensive Plan
Lol. The CIA demanded to rewrite a scene in the film “Meet the Fockers”, but people are upset because a professional messaging firm is being used to clarify and contexualize a complex planning issue? The government outsources PR work all the time, the US military which is entirely an unelected burea...
