Re: Athletic Department Practice Facilities
Oh, after looking at it again I see you're definitely right. Too bad they couldn't move the lot behind the building or something.I believe that is the existing parking lot for Bierman. Not adding any parking. Just not removing that particular parking lot.

Re: Athletic Department Practice Facilities
Looks like there is a parking lot fronting 15th Ave...what happened to the University District Alliance development principles (https://www.myu.umn.edu/public/UDA%20Pr ... 110930.pdf)? I suppose they are only applicable to private developers and not to the university itself.

Mortenson already sold it as a 30 story building (in July I believe). How could they reduce height now?

Re: General Discussion: Chanhassen - Chaska - Carver County
You're right. I mis-remembered that article. It wasn't regulation, per se, so much as creating a substantial incentive to comply with fha standards in order to receive fha mortgage insurance. Local municipalities often turned the standards into actual regulations, however. Land developers, eager to ...

Re: District 600 - (600 Fifth Street North)
I have noted in a few posts above the clear progress that has been made over the last few months. It is certainly slow, but not stalled. To summarize for those who don't read previous posts, they have just completed the underground portion and should be ready to start building above ground again ver...

Re: District 600 - (600 Fifth Street North)
I walked by yesterday afternoon and they have just finished laying the pre-fab concrete slabs for the two underground levels. It looks like they are ready to work on the first above ground level and I'd image the additional levels of wood construction will go up quickly. It is about time. This has b...

Re: Mill & Main West - (425 Main Street Southeast)
Anybody else notice that they used real brick until the top floor? At that point they used that thin brick facade (I'm not sure what to call it) that appears to come in sheets. It doesn't look that different from further away but you can tell if you look closely. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Z...
