Re: Target Center Renovation

I understand that it is not the most attractive but at least the entrance has been moved to the corner. I feel as though the problem with the target center was an outdated interior, even more so than the exterior. So even if it looks a little crappy on the outside, I think the inside will be done w...

Re: Downtown Retail News

They're doing a bit of reconfiguring of the TCF tower retail. Dunn Bros moved to Taco John's former space, and Sew What! Is reconfiguring. Their entrance moved 90° to the space vacated by Dunn Bros.

Re: Green Line (Central Corridor LRT)

Noticed that there is now an announcement at the warehouse district station when a train arrives. "A blue line train to downtown Minneapolis is now arriving on platform two."

Living in Skyscape and knowing people in the area, I'd LOVE it to be in the Portland Tower.

Re: Downtown East Project (Ryan Companies / Wells Fargo)

Slightly off topic. I know at some point someone brought up the idea of that squat black Wells Fargo buiding on Washington and 3rd getting redeveloped due to these new Wells Fargo buildings. I can't seem to find the post though. Anyways, maybe this isn't news to everyone, but it is news to me, this...

St. Anthony Main has public bathrooms that have bailed me out on runs before.

Re: Target Field Station

As a transit project, this was probably a waste of tens of millions of dollars. But if there's actually going to be some 24-hour public restrooms in downtown? Worth it. There isn't already a set somewhere that I've been missing for years, is there? I'd be interested to learn of their existence as w...

Re: Hampton Inn & Suites - (19 8th Street North)

I think the estimated completion date is April 2015, so it might be ready for Baseball next year.. Also, I work in that building, the pounding shakes the whole place! I can imagine! I work in Butler Square and the pounding from Target Field construction felt like it was going to take the building d...

Re: Bus Stop on 7th Street at Nicollet Mall

In other news, Target has outgrown its Nicollet Mall store so it is moving electronics, housewares, and part of boy's clothing across Nicollet Mall into a store that will be identical in appearance.
Wait, what? Is this for real? Do you have a link?

Re: Downtown East Project (Ryan Companies / Wells Fargo)

*two* detention facilities, correct? Yeah, one connected to the courthouse on the west, and the juvenile facility on the east. "Yard" would really be awkward. I hope the juvenile facility is able to sell its land and redevelop elsewhere within a decade after this entire project is complet...

Re: Hampton Inn & Suites - (19 8th Street North)
