Speaking of renaming streets, I just noticed today that 13th St. between Nicollet Mall and Marquette Ave. has been renamed Alice Rainville Place. How long have these signs been up? I doubt I would have noticed if the bus driver had not announced the stop as "Alice Rainville Place, formerly 13th St". The automated announcement was still simply 13th St.

Grey signs below blue? It's common for temporary/ semi-official namings to be added.

No, they were the special type that are used on Nicollet Mall. No secondary name was evident. I think that is the official name, now.

They changed the signs a few months ago.

So Google maps has renamed the avenue to Cheatham Ave but the house address and most of the businesses are still listed as Dight Ave. I would have thought those would have been automatically changed with the street name.
